1. Non cross-linked polyethylene foams

1.1 Ethafoam

Ethafoam is a non cross-linked polyethylene foam with a closed cellular structure and does not contain CFCs or HCFCs. Ethafoam's flexible closed cellular structure enhances its excellent protective qualities and low bulk. It is available in densities ranging from 25 to 150 kg/m³.

Ethafoam's water absorption and steam diffusion values are practically negligible.

Ethafoam is highly resistant to chemicals and has excellent insulation values. Ethafoam has been used with success in various applications, in a temperature range from - 40°C to +74°C.

Ethafoam is a stable material. It does not splinter, snap or flake through bending or cutting in normal use.

Ethafoam exhibits rapid recovery after shock or strain. In general, Ethafoam can be reused repeatedly with a minimum loss of efficiency. If the material becomes dirty, it can be cleaned without compromising its properties or performance.
