CNC contour cutting with/without an incision (0)
CNC contour cutting with/without an incision
This machine cuts the foam into a certain shape on the basis of a program / drawing. This can occur on a CNC controlled machine with a rotating saw, which has the advantage that several pieces are sawed simultaneously. A possible disadvantage is an incision from the outer to the inner contour. If this incision is a problem, the plotter (contour machine with a blade) can be opted for. Both machines work on the basis of a program so that a prototype can quickly be made.

Vertical cutting (0)
Vertical cutting
This machine can cut the foam to the right length and width.

Horizontal cutting (0)
Horizontal cutting
The horizontal cutter cuts the foam to the right thickness. This machine is very accurate and it can cut planks to thicknesses with very low tolerances.

Bevelling/chamfer
This machine makes it possible to cut a slanted edge on a piece of foam.

Welding / glueing (0)
Welding / glueing
Joining two pieces of PE foam to each other can simply be done by briefly heating them at a high temperature and then immediately pressing them together firmly. This is called welding.

Milling (0)
Milling
A milling machine cuts the desired holes in a piece of foam on the basis of a 3D program. This production method is very interesting for pieces of foam with holes of different depths.

Die-cutting (0)
Die-cutting
Die-cutting is interesting for large runs. A cutting knife is made in the desired shape and the machine repeatedly presses this shape into the foam.

Laminating
The laminator “melts” polyethylene planks together to create thicker plates. This technique is also used to make planks adhesive.
